How to set up IOTLUX Bluetooth smart light bulb?

IOTLUX Bluetooth smart light bulb instruction manual (IOS device as example)

1. Preparation before connection

• A IOTLUX Bluetooth light bulb well powered on.

• An IOS/Android smart device.

• Mesh Lamp App.

2. Install the Mesh Lamp App

You can skip this part if you have already installed the app on your smart devices.

Search “Mesh Lamp” in the Google Play or App Store to download the free application.

IOS version download: App Store.

Android version download: Google Play.

Please note: Make sure IOS/Android devices are compatible with IOTLUX Bluetooth smart light bulb.

Update the operation system of Apple devices to IOS 9.0 and up.

Update the operation system of Android devices to Android 4.4 and up.

3. Enable Mesh Lamp to be data available

You can skip this part if you have already added some devices to your Mesh Lamp application.

Back to the home page, tap the “Mesh Lamp” icon to open the app, “Allow” app to use data and allow Bluetooth devices to be data available even when you are not using the app.

4. Open Bluetooth on your IOS/Android devices

In order to connect the SMAlux Bluetooth smart light bulb to your smart phone, Bluetooth must be turned on all the time.

Turn on Bluetooth on IOS devices.

• Hit the “Home” button to home page, tap “Setting” icon.

• Click “Bluetooth” on the setting screen.

• Tap the ON/OFF dot to turn on or turn off Bluetooth.

• Close the setting and complete.

• You can also directly slide on the bottom of your phone screen and tap the Bluetooth icon to turn on.

Turn on Bluetooth on Android devices.

• Back to home page, select “Setting”.

• Press the Bluetooth icon.

• Slide the dot to right to “ON”.

• Close the setting and complete.

• You can also slide on the top edge of your phone screen and directly click the Bluetooth symbol to activate.

  
  

5. Connecting the IOTLUX Bluetooth smart light bulb to your phone.

Screw the IOTLUX Bluetooth smart light bulb into the socket and power on.

5.1 Add a home

Click the hamburger bar on the upper left corner to “Settings” page, tap “Current Home” button to “Home List” screen.

Press “Add new home” button, set a room name you want to control the IOTLUX Bluetooth smart light bulb, like “Bedroom”, and “Confirm” to proceed.

5.2 Add new devices

After your creating a new room, you will be redirected to “Add Device” screen.

Tap the yellow banner“Add Device” on the bottom.

Then the application will search for the nearby IOTLUX Bluetooth smart light bulb automatically.

When there are available IOTLUX Bluetooth light bulbs nearby, they will show in the home page.

Then you can choose the one you want to finish the connection.

Please note: Please keep your phone close to the IOTLUX Bluetooth smart light bulb when connection, and it will take some minutes to search.

6. IOTLUX App Operation

The setup is now all complete, you can manage the IOTLUX Bluetooth smart light bulb remotely and here are the main features.

6.1 Control single bulb

You can directly click the needed symbol to turn on/off the IOTLUX smart light bulb.

Please note: the icon become yellow means bulb on, and gray means bulb off.

6.2 Control the bulb color

Tap “All Devices” and bring out a drop-down menu “Control”, click to enter into the control page.

Here you can see a color palette with over 16 million colors available.

Click anywhere on the palette to get your favorite color.

There are 8 fixed options for your fast color changing.

6.3 Control the bulb brightness

In order to control the brightness of the IOTLUX Bluetooth smart light bulb, you can also manage this in the “Palette” screen.

Slide the dot from left to right, come along with the increase of bulb brightness from (0%-100%).

6.4 Control the bulb color temperature

Tap the “White” circle on the bottom right corner, then it will go to color temperature control page.

Color temperature is ranging from 2700K to 6500K.

You can also back to the color changing screen easily via the “Color” button on the bottom right corner.

6.5 Alarm and Timer

In order to set a timer or alarm, you can click the “Interaction” on the upper banner.

Then click the “Timing” button on the screen.

Press “Add Schedule” to set a specific time to turn on and turn off.

In the meantime, choose any day you want the alarm from Sunday to Saturday.

After adding successfully, it will show in your “Timing” list.

6.6 Control in group

In order to save time and control several IOTLUX Bluetooth smart light bulbs together, you can create a group to control in one command.

Enter into one bulb controlling screen, tap the “+” on the upper right corner, click “Add Group” button to create a group name first, like “Group 1”.

Please note: only when the bulbs are of the same functions can be add in a group to control together.

Then click the “Group 1” symbol on the screen, then it will bring out a menu for you to “control, manage and delete” the group.

Tap “Manage” button for group name changing and group devices adding.

Then here will be a list of all IOTLUX Bluetooth smart light bulbs that have been successfully added in your app.

Choose one or two bulbs you want to your “Group 1”.

Please note: you can add many bulbs in your group and multiple groups can be created.

7. Wireless remote control

Wireless remote control can be realized on IOS/Android devices with following three conditions required:

• Your IOS/Android devices are always with Bluetooth on.

• The IOTLUX Bluetooth smart light bulb keep power on.

• The IOTLUX Bluetooth smart light bulb can be remote controlled within a limited distance.
